The DNS records are simple text-based instructions related to a specific domain name. They are collected in a zone file in a DNS zone. Moreover, all of that information is kept in the authoritative DNS server for the domain name. The DNS records have one main purpose – to provide the needed information and rules for a domain, for instance, the IP address.
